Moments: Monthly stewardship

My name is Allegra Mackie, and I am so grateful to be able to share our story with such a supportive community.

When I met my husband, I was a single mom, a nurse, and incredibly self-reliant. He had a Parkinson’s diagnosis that was a decade old. And while most replied with “I’m sorry,” I was just curious and wanted to be his biggest advocate and motivator.

Together, we’ve become local advocates, participating in research, taking part in our community, and sharing our story whenever we can.

Thanks to supporters like you, Parkinson Canada keeps showing up for people living with Parkinson’s and the families beside them. Your generosity makes every resource, every research breakthrough, and every moment of connection possible.
