This October 1st through 10th, your gift will be doubled, accelerating Parkinson’s research.

The last major Parkinson’s treatment breakthrough happened in the 1960s. Today, Parkinson Canada is asking you to help fund research that could contribute to the next major breakthrough.

We’re asking for our community to support the pioneering researchers who are tackling one of the most complex conditions affecting the nervous system.

Judy Hazlett’s estate is generously matching every gift made and doubling every donation within the next 10 days up to $25,000. This means that a $50 gift becomes $100, and a $100 gift becomes $200, to fund critical early-stage research.

“Our researchers have the nerve to believe that complex problems have solutions,” says Karen Lee, PhD, President and CEO of Parkinson Canada. “They’re analyzing neural pathways, developing innovative approaches, and refusing to accept the status quo. We’re asking Canada’s Parkinson’s community to have that same nerve, to support research that others might consider too risky or ambitious.” Our community has the opportunity to double the impact of their gift until October 10th. Together, we aim to raise enough money to fund the next generation of Canadian Parkinson’s researchers, driving discovery.

With more than 110,000 people living with Parkinson’s in Canada today, and with that number growing, the need for breakthrough research has never been more urgent.

With your help, we have the nerve to dream of the next breakthrough.
