Registration for Parkinson Canada’s SuperWalk and Pedaling for Parkinson’s – two annual event programs that raise funds for over 100,000 Canadians living with Parkinson’s – is now open to the public for 2023.
SuperWalk
Parkinson Canada’s SuperWalk is the largest annual national fundraiser for Canadians impacted by Parkinson’s. Together, we have an immeasurable impact on the research being done, the services being offered and the people being helped every day. Since 1990, Canadians from across the country have come together to support each other by taking part in the Parkinson Canada SuperWalk. They have raised funds and done an incredible job of spreading the word and advocating for those within the Parkinson’s community.
To date, SuperWalk has raised over $42 million to fuel research, develop supports, and allow for advocacy work at both federal and provincial levels of government.
Pedaling for Parkinson’s
Founded by Canadians for Canadians, Pedaling for Parkinson’s invites cyclists to ride towards progress by funding research and raising awareness for Parkinson Canada. Since its inception in 2011, Pedaling for Parkinson’s has funded 20 research projects through more than $1.9 million in contributions to Parkinson Canada. For 2023, rides will take place in Waupoos, ON, Summerside, PE and Orangeville, ON with a “DIY” Go the Distance option for anyone, anywhere to ride and fundraise for Canadians impacted by Parkinson’s.
The Pedaling for Parkinson’s community donations fuel the Parkinson Canada National Research Program, which has invested more than $31 million in funding since 1981.
