Parkinson Canada programming, in-person activities and COVID-19 Vaccine Policy update

Parkinson Canada remains committed to the health and safety of the Parkinson’s community.

Our priority is the safety and wellbeing of those we serve and in doing so we will continue to monitor and follow both federal and provincial Public Health guidelines to help safeguard the health of the Parkinson’s community – people living with Parkinson’s, care partners, volunteers, donors, and staff.

With careful consideration of the nature and increase in cases of the virus, we have made the decision to continue to deliver on our mission within a remote working environment at this time. This includes our dedication to offering online programming. We will remain remote until we have more information on the changing situation and there is more certainty on what is safe for our community. We will continue to keep you up to date as we navigate these challenging times. We continue to support and connect the community through webinars, virtual support groups, online wellness programming, advocacy, and more.

In addition, Parkinson Canada has implemented a mandatory COVID-19 vaccination requirement for all its employees, volunteers, participants and attendants of in-person events and meetings. Proof of full vaccination will be required prior to commencement of employment, volunteering, or in-person event/meeting participation. This policy is effective immediately. All Parkinson Canada employees whose functions will cause them to attend a Parkinson Canada workplace or event must be fully vaccinated by . For those volunteers, consultants, contractors, visitors and attendees who attend Parkinson Canada workplaces or events, you will be required to submit proof of full vaccination by .
