I wouldn’t be here without a breakthrough.

My name is Alex, and I want you to know the importance of funding research and how you can double your impact until Sept. 25.

Why research matters:

A lot of courageous innovation within the realm of Parkinson’s has been accomplished—advancing treatment, providing early detection & diagnosis, and lessening symptoms. None of which could happen without your support. Breakthroughs hold deep significance for us because innovative minds developed a medication that restores lost motor function called Levodopa, created Deep Brain Stimulation (DBS) which is a neurosurgical process that manages severe motor symptoms, and uncovered stem cell advancements. These are prime examples of bold research that you can fund today.

What it means to us:

Allegra and I met shortly after my initial diagnosis, and she had seen it all. At the time my tremors were intensifying, I was unable to walk (resorting to crawling), and anxiety would take over as my symptoms continued to build. This was the worst of it until I got DBS.

Once again the path I thought I was on, swerved onto one full of possibility. This procedure gave me hope. I was able to walk down the aisle, I became quite the architect while building LEGO with my kids, and now I hold a job that values diversity and understands my condition.

What funding breakthroughs looks like:

When you give today, your contribution powers innovative research that:

  • Improves the quality of life for people living with Parkinson’s
  • Turns uncertainty into answers
  • Inspires a new generation of innovators

Allegra and I couldn’t have done it without your support, and now it’s your chance to help more people like us. People like us that deserve improved treatments, boosted confidence regardless of our diagnosis, and breakthroughs that keep us hopeful.

Don’t miss out on the opportunity to double your impact. Thanks to philanthropist Robert Goodall and other generous donors, your gift will be matched while matching funds last.
