Parkinson Canada is thrilled to announce the recipients of funding through CARE Fund for Sept. 1, 2024 to August 31, 2025. CARE Fund is a program that funds local initiatives that enhance the quality of life for people living with Parkinson’s and their care partners. This includes innovative programs addressing exercise, education, and mental health, particularly within underserved and diverse communities across Canada.
CARE Fund aims to empower organizations to develop sustainable, impactful initiatives that promote well-being, provide essential resources, and build skills for those affected by Parkinson’s.
Here are the winners of CARE Fund that will receive funding until August 2025:
- Annapolis Valley Support Group in collaboration with Acadia University, Power over Parkinson’s
These outstanding programs reflect creativity and dedication to improving the lives of people affected by Parkinson’s through movement, mindfulness, education, and community-building. Each of these organizations has demonstrated a commitment to addressing unmet needs and providing meaningful support to individuals and their care partners.
