Bob de Wit
Bob de Wit joined the Parkinson Advisory Council to provide lived experience, offer guidance and provide a bridge between the Parkinson’s and research communities.
Diagnosed with Parkinson’s in 2014 and recently retired as a CEO, Bob’s career began in university technology transfer then, transformed by entrepreneurship, evolved into angel investing. He hopes to leverage his experience with university technology transfer to help with ensuring new knowledge supported by Parkinson Canada is translated to the patient and the larger community.
Bob has served on numerous boards and advisory councils of private and public companies as well as societies and foundations. He holds a BBA in Marketing and an MA in Economics from Simon Fraser University and lives with his family in British Columbia, Canada.
