Description

Rock Steady Boxing York Region is a unique exercise program based on the Rock Steady Boxing Method. Inspired by training used by professional boxers and adapted for people with Parkinson’s, the program combines regular exercise, strength training, stretching, jogging, balance work, vocal strengthening, and non-contact boxing.

These boxing and conditioning drills are designed to help participants manage Parkinson’s symptoms and support a better quality of life. Along the way, members work hard, have fun, and build friendships.

“I have been attending Rock Steady Boxing classes with Melissa since 2017. It’s a great workout and has helped my balance and strength training. I do three classes a week and look forward to each session. More importantly, it has given me a real sense of community. Over the years, I’ve met so many fellow boxers who are fighting the same battle against Parkinson’s”— Alex
