Support Groups are led by trained facilitators, both in-person and virtually. All are designed to provide a safe, comfortable place for people to connect and share with each other on how to live well with Parkinson’s. Area of Expertise Parkinson Canada has offered support groups since the 1970s. These groups were created to provide a safe space for people affected by Parkinson’s disease and other Parkinson’s Plus Syndromes to share experiences, receive emotional support, and gain resources. The network of groups has since expanded across Canada, evolving to support both in-person and virtual meetings.
