Description

Private weekly classes (online or in person, if located in the Toronto area) curated to each individuals unique challenges. Group class, Where Mind & Movement Meet, is held weekly on Friday afternoons, please see website for more information.
Dancing with Parkinson’s class is held in Scarborough, 3rd Wednesday of the month 11:30-12:30 pm and is free of charge.
For the North, Central and South American Spanish speaking community, Sarah volunteers her services in an online movement class held every other Thursday.

Area of Expertise

Sarah Martens has been working with people with Parkinson’s since the spring of 2020, after private studies with movement and dance therapist, Samantha Emanuel. She later was certified as a PWR!Moves instructor. Sarah’s first students were private clients, and soon after she expanded into online group classes.
Sarah continued her studies a few years later with Sarah Robichaud and David Leventhal to become a Dancing with Parkinson’s (DWP) instructor. Since 2023, she has been mentoring with Barbara Salsberg Mathews (Mime Over Mind) to learn how to incorporate mime into her class offerings.
