Area of Expertise

Senior Helpers Victoria has extensive experience supporting individuals living with Parkinson’s disease across a wide range of stages and care needs. Our specialized Parkinson’s Care Program was developed in collaboration with Becky Dunlop, a Parkinson’s educator and internationally recognized specialist in Parkinson’s care, to ensure our approach reflects current best practices and the unique challenges associated with the condition. Our caregivers are supported through Parkinson’s-specific education and provide individualized assistance with mobility, transfers, freezing episodes, fall prevention, medication reminder routines, personal care, cognitive cueing, executive functioning support, fatigue management, transportation, and meaningful daily engagement. Every client receives a customized care plan that evolves with their changing needs, and we work collaboratively with families and healthcare professionals to promote safety, dignity, independence, and quality of life while helping individuals remain successfully in their own homes.
