This progressive exercise class will focus on total body exercises that promote flexibility, strength and power. The class will assist participants in maintaining and improving motor skills that are used in everyday activities that have been affected by the progression of Parkinson’s disease. A series of rhythmical exercises are performed lying down on the floor, on all fours, seated and standing. This program will start April 5th, 2023 and end on June 14th, 2023.

Note that participants should be at the following fitness level:

  • Can get up and down off the floor by themselves with or without the use of a chair.
  • Have not had two or more falls in the past 6 months.
  • Have not experienced dizziness when transitioning from lying down to standing or sitting.

Prior to registering for the class please contact Sarah Munro at sarahm@mnjcc.org. All participants will be required to fill out a Health History Questionnaire and a Physicians Release form. More details here: https://www.mnjcc.org/wellnessclasses.
