Intro to PWR!Moves (30 minutes, in-person and livestreamed, 6 weeks)

The Introduction to PWR!Moves group exercise class will help you become familiar with the PWR!Moves. PWR!Moves are Parkinson’s specific exercises that help maintain and restore movement skills that have deteriorated and can interfere with every day movements. This class will help participants become accustomed to the PWR!Moves, become comfortable with the idea of regular exercise in their lives and prepare for the next stages of their exercise journey. This class includes two in-person (Ottawa) or livestreamed classes each week as well as access to a private video link of that week’s class so participants can practice on their own at home.

Tuesday and Thursday, 10:30 to 11:00 am ET:

  • Jan 10 to Feb 16 (6 weeks)
  • Feb 28 to Apr 6 (6 weeks)

PWR!Moves for FUNction (45 minutes, in-person only, 6 weeks or 12 weeks)

Our PWR!Moves for FUNction class incorporates the PWR!Moves into a fun-filled session designed to achieve specific goals including improving rhythm in movement, building strength, stabilizing gait and managing daily tasks. We’ll even give your brain a workout!

This class is ideal for those who have completed the intro to PWR!Moves class and are looking for more of a challenge.

Tuesday and Thursday, 11:15 am to 12:00 pm ET:

  • Jan 10 to Apr 6 with one week break after the first 6 weeks.
