Today is National Philanthropy Day!

We have made this short video for you,
as our way of saying thank you,
for all that you do.

This special day provides Parkinson Canada with an opportunity to celebrate your commitment. Your generous contributions of both time and funding support are helping to make a better world for everyone living with and affected by Parkinson’s disease, growing our Parkinson’s family.

Meet Jackie Landry!

Meet Jackie Landry!

At 39, Jackie Landry was officially diagnosed with Parkinson disease, but doctors now realize that she has likely been living with Parkinson’s since she was 16 years old.

Thanks to you, Jackie was not only able to reach out to Parkinson Canada for the assistance she needed, and is now herself leading a support group and advocating both in her home province of Nova Scotia, as well as nationally, for more help for others living with Parkinson’s.

“Donors who support Parkinson Canada have made it possible for their trained staff to stand beside me and help during some of my darkest times.”

– Jackie Landry

Thanks to caring donors just like you, more people just like Jackie can be helped.

Your support has enabled us to reach more than 9,000 people via our 1-800 information and referral line, and over 2,400 people through the 120 support groups offered throughout the country.

With you by our side, we can face all the challenges Parkinson’s presents and overcome them, because we are stronger together. Because, we are family.

And thank you for everything you do.
