Just Imagine the Impact Your Legacy Giving can have on Future Generations
Gifts in Wills are vital to serving people living with Parkinson’s disease, their families, and the healthcare professionals who treat them. They ensure expanded and sustained funding for innovative research, education and support programs. Whatever the size of your legacy gift, it will reach people living with Parkinson’s who need it most. Your charitable donation will ensure a profound and lasting impact for people living with Parkinson’s today and changing lives well into the future for generations to come.
With five decades of experience, Parkinson Canada has advocated with governments on issues that are of great concern to the Parkinson’s community in Canada. Parkinson Canada was instrumental in founding the Canadian Open Parkinson Network (C-OPN), an important partnership that will help accelerate research discoveries through a shared databank, biorepository and increased collaboration with the goal of bringing new treatments to market faster and finding the cause and cure of Parkinson’s disease.
May is Leave a Legacy Month in Canada, an important time to highlight the impact that legacy giving can have on charities. Many of us have causes we may donate to throughout our lifetime to help charities with their immediate needs. Legacy giving, however, is a little different. General donations usually answer the question: “how can I help today?” Legacy gifts are the answer to: “how would I like to be remembered” Or “What longer term impact do I want to make.”
Like most Canadians, Parkinson’s disease has touched a part of your lives. No matter what your personal connection is, we are all fighting the same battle: to find the cause and cure of Parkinson’s disease.
Thank you again for being a part of the fight to end Parkinson’s. Should you have any questions about how your estate plans might include Parkinson Canada, please know that we are always here to answer them.
Sincerely,
Lee Nichols
