Joseph is the Vice President of Financial Reporting at Lightspeed, a public company headquartered in Montreal that provides a one-stop commerce platform to its customers. At Lightspeed, he acts as the financial reporting and technical accounting lead and IFRS expert. Joseph started his career working at PwC in the Assurance practice where he worked on auditing public and private entities. He then transferred to the Capital Markets and Accounting Advisory department, where he expanded his technical knowledge.

Joseph is a licensed CPA auditor and ranked on the Honour Roll for the September 2016 Common Final Examination (CFE) placing him among the top 50 candidates in Canada. He is a member of the Accounting Standard Board’s IFRS Discussion Group (IDG) where he assists the AcSB in both supporting the application of IFRS in Canada and influencing the development of IFRS Standards. He has a Bachelor of Accounting (High Honours), and a Graduate Diploma in Chartered Professional Accountancy (High Honours), both from Concordia University.

He is passionate about Parkinson’s as a close family member lives with the disease. He plans to use his financial background to contribute to the organization. Being at the early stages of his career, he is determined to spread awareness of Parkinson’s and help transform the lives of people impacted by it, as well as those around them. His ultimate goal is for a cure to be found.
