{"id":50241,"date":"2025-03-04T22:26:27","date_gmt":"2025-03-04T22:26:27","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.parkinson.ca\/?post_type=profile&#038;p=50241"},"modified":"2025-03-04T22:26:27","modified_gmt":"2025-03-04T22:26:27","slug":"tony-chang","status":"publish","type":"profile","link":"https:\/\/www.parkinson.ca\/fr\/profile\/tony-chang\/","title":{"rendered":"Tony Chang"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>Tony is determined to help find a cure for Parkinson\u2019s and is passionate about the organization\u2019s mission to build a support network to improve the quality of life for Canadians living with Parkinson\u2019s. \u201cI have experienced firsthand Parkinson\u2019s as I watched my mother suffer with the disease for over 15 years which eventually led to her demise\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tony has the privilege of serving on the Board of public, and private companies and mission-driven non-profit organizations in Canada, the US and Asia by providing leadership on corporate governance, business and organizational development, strategic planning, financing and growth strategies as well as serving on Advisory Board for many early staged health care and technology companies.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>He is the current Chair of the board for Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care, the largest charity and non-profit mission-driven healthcare organization serving seniors in Canada. He is also a board member of the Catholic Health Sponsors of Ontario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tony is a qualified Chartered Professional Accountant and a member of the Institute of Corporate Directors (ICD). He holds a graduate degree in Mathematics and Business Administration from the University of Waterloo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer is-style-responsive-xsmall\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer is-style-responsive-xsmall\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Tony est d\u00e9termin\u00e9 \u00e0 contribuer \u00e0 la d\u00e9couverte d&rsquo;un rem\u00e8de contre la maladie de Parkinson et il est passionn\u00e9 par la mission de l&rsquo;organisation, qui consiste \u00e0 cr\u00e9er un r\u00e9seau de soutien pour am\u00e9liorer la qualit\u00e9 de vie des Canadiens qui vivent avec la maladie de Parkinson. \u00ab\u00a0J&rsquo;ai fait l&rsquo;exp\u00e9rience directe de la maladie de Parkinson en voyant ma m\u00e8re souffrir de la maladie pendant plus de 15 ans, ce qui l&rsquo;a finalement conduite \u00e0 la mort.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tony a eu le privil\u00e8ge de si\u00e9ger au conseil d&rsquo;administration d&rsquo;entreprises publiques et priv\u00e9es et d&rsquo;organisations \u00e0 but non lucratif au Canada, aux \u00c9tats-Unis et en Asie, en assurant la direction de la gouvernance d&rsquo;entreprise, du d\u00e9veloppement commercial et organisationnel, de la planification strat\u00e9gique, du financement et des strat\u00e9gies de croissance, ainsi qu&rsquo;en si\u00e9geant au conseil consultatif de nombreuses entreprises de soins de sant\u00e9 et de technologie en phase de d\u00e9marrage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Il est actuellement pr\u00e9sident du conseil d&rsquo;administration du Yee Hong Centre for Geriatric Care, la plus grande organisation caritative et \u00e0 but non lucratif de soins de sant\u00e9 au service des personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es au Canada. Il est \u00e9galement membre du conseil d&rsquo;administration des Catholic Health Sponsors of Ontario.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Tony est comptable professionnel agr\u00e9\u00e9 et membre de l&rsquo;Institut des administrateurs de soci\u00e9t\u00e9s (ICD).
