Her interests are language and acquired cognitive-communication disorders in adults with neurodegenerative disorders. Her research includes the neurological and behavioral characterization of language and communication profiles in these populations, in addition to the design and evaluation of therapy interventions and caregiver education programs. Her research program uses a variety of methodologies to answer research questions informed by a clinical career as a speech-language pathologist, spanning over 20 years in the U.S. and Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Angela was previously awarded the Queen&rsquo;s Jubilee Medal of Honour for contributions to improving the quality of life for individuals with Parkinson&rsquo;s and their care partners. She currently serves on the executive committee for the Ontario Neurodegenerative Disease Research Initiative (ONDRI). She received her <abbr title=\"doctorate\">PhD<\/abbr> in health and rehabilitation sciences from Western University and completed a postdoctoral fellowship in cognitive neurology at the Lawson Health Research Institutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-group is-layout-constrained wp-block-group-is-layout-constrained\">\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer is-style-responsive-xsmall\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator has-alpha-channel-opacity\"\/>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:100px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer is-style-responsive-xsmall\"><\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Angela Roberts est professeur adjoint en sciences et troubles de la communication \u00e0 la School of Communication de la Northwestern University. Elle s&rsquo;int\u00e9resse aux troubles du langage et de la communication cognitive acquise chez les adultes atteints de troubles neurod\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ratifs. Ses recherches portent sur la caract\u00e9risation neurologique et comportementale des profils de langage et de communication dans ces populations, ainsi que sur la conception et l&rsquo;\u00e9valuation des interventions th\u00e9rapeutiques et des programmes d&rsquo;\u00e9ducation des soignants. Son programme de recherche utilise une vari\u00e9t\u00e9 de m\u00e9thodologies pour r\u00e9pondre \u00e0 des questions de recherche \u00e9clair\u00e9es par une carri\u00e8re clinique en tant qu&rsquo;orthophoniste, qui s&rsquo;\u00e9tend sur plus de 20 ans aux \u00c9tats-Unis et au Canada.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Angela a d\u00e9j\u00e0 re\u00e7u la M\u00e9daille d&rsquo;honneur du jubil\u00e9 de la Reine pour sa contribution \u00e0 l&rsquo;am\u00e9lioration de la qualit\u00e9 de vie des personnes atteintes de la maladie de Parkinson et de leurs partenaires de soins. Elle si\u00e8ge actuellement au comit\u00e9 ex\u00e9cutif de l&rsquo;Ontario Neurodegenerative Disease Research Initiative (ONDRI).
