We use simple movements (getting in and out of a chair, walking, etc) to learn to think, plan a movement and execute it. We draw attention to developing efficiency in thinking and movement. We also work with breath and voice and enhancing the ability to be expressive vocally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We work with people living with Parkinson&rsquo;s and with care partners, finding shared language and ways to support cognitive and motor benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Area of Expertise<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>I have been teaching Alexander Technique for close to 40 years. In addition to studying and teaching Alexander Technique, I have a Ph.D. in education. I completed a course on the Science of the Alexander Technique and a course on Current approached to pain and Alexander Technique. I trained with the Poise Project that focused on Alexander Technique for people living with Parkinson&rsquo;s.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition, I taught people who have been living with Parkinson&rsquo;s, one-on-one both in person and online. I taught group classes for people living with Parkinson&rsquo;s online and in person.
