May 1, 2019- Medical Cannabis and Parkinson’s: What’s Known and What’s Not –

People living with Parkinson’s and their loved ones are invited to hear experts share their knowledge on medical cannabis use in Parkinson’s care & research. Experts will provide a balanced overview of what’s known and what’s not and answer your questions on this timely subject.

Invited speakers are:

• Dr. Lynda Balneaves, PhD, RN, University of Manitoba, Deputy Director of the Canadian Consortium for the Investigation of Cannabinoids (CCIC).
Dr. Balneaves will provide an overarching view of the use of medical cannabis in Canada.

• Dr. Michael Dworkind, McGill University and the Jewish General Hospital, Medical Director of Santé Cannabis.
Dr. Dworkind will describe how different is the effect of cannabis in aging consumers.

• Dr. Susan Fox, UHN Toronto, neurologist and movement disorder specialist.
Dr. Fox will present a balanced overview of medical cannabis use in Parkinson’s disease and Parkinson’s research.
