Living well with Parkinson's – Timmins ON

Whether you are newly diagnosed or have been living with Parkinson’s for a long time, we invite you along with your Care Partners and family members to join us for an informative and inspiring day of learning.

This event will also be of interest to Health Care Professionals and to those in the community who provide services to people living with Parkinson’s.

Among others who will be on hand to share resources and information to ensure you live your best life with Parkinson’s, we are excited to feature the following expert Guest Speakers:

Joyce Gordon, CEO, Parkinson Canada and
Chair, Neurological Charities Canada
will provide updates on some of the initiatives that Parkinson Canada has been working on for people living with Parkinson’s, their families, and the health care professionals who treat them.

Dr. Renato Munhoz, Neurologist, Movement Disorders Specialist, Toronto Western and Associate Professor at the University of Toronto will be joining us to talk about Deep Brain Stimulation:  what you want and need to know about this surgical therapy.

Tiara Sillet is the Founder and Owner of Natural Budz – Cannabis Education Center and patient intake clinic.  Tiara will provide an overview of the current state of medical cannabis.

Neli Gontier is the Education & Training Specialist for Parkinson Canada.  As lead author and developer of several educational resources, including the ACT on Time™ program, Neli will present ways to effectively work with your Health Care Team.
