CHANGES AND UPDATES TO THE APPLICATION PROCESS FOR THE 2012-2014 COMPETITION


  • Applications must be submitted with the all the required signatures by the noted due date. A single PDF of the signature page containing all required signatures can be uploaded with the additional information for the application. They do not need to be couriered to Parkinson Society Canada.
  • Foreign transcripts MUST be accompanied by a certified English or French interpretation and a clear explanation of the grading system. International candidates are encouraged to obtain official conversions of their grades to GPA by their institute.
  • For International candidates, where applicable, sponsors should comment on the grades and/or class ranking of the candidate within the content of their letters.
  • To provide Scientific Advisory Board members an opportunity during the peer review process to effectively evaluate the success of a previous award, applicants currently in receipt of a Pilot Project grant will not be permitted to submit a subsequent application for funding until the current or preceding award term has been completed.
  • Applicants for New Investigator Awards are strongly encouraged to include a letter of mentorship with their application. The letter should state among other information that the writer has read the application and will provide assistance to the applicant.
  • Applicants for pilot project grants and new investigator awards are encouraged to include copies of any assessment scales referred to in their proposals.
