This September, our annual Parkinson SuperWalk was a tremendous success raising $2.79 million, with thousands of participants coming out to walk, bike, jog, wheel and move in whatever way they could, to raise much needed funds to support Canadians with Parkinson’s disease.
Thanks to each of you who returned this year to show your dedication and passion for our cause. We also hosted five new walks in Canada and welcomed many new participants, including virtual walkers at parkinsonsuperwalk.ca.
Your support provides much needed funds to deliver education and support services provided locally. Your support means a greater investment in research to improve the quality of life for people with Parkinson’s in Canada.
Parkinson SuperWalk is Canada’s largest nation-wide fundraising event for Parkinson’s disease. Since 1990 when our first Parkinson SuperWalk took place, with just seven participants we have grown. Now, family and friends in 95 communities across Canada join together to raise vital funds on behalf of the over 100,000 Canadians with Parkinson’s disease and their 400,000 family, friends and caregivers.
