The Mirror

by W. Peter Sanci

Each day when I go to look in the mirror, there’s another little bite
Of me that I don’t see.

You see my dear friends, I have Parkinson’s Disease, and believe me
when I say it changes you every day.

I didn’t ask the Good Lord for this curse He gave me, I just try to live with
it the best I can, and not to flee.

For we will all be judged on how we lived our lives, with not only those
blessings from, Almighty God, but those infirmities and handicaps,
all three.

I try to do my best each and everyday, but I know my wife is scared as to
What’s going to happen to me.

As a matter of fact I’m pretty scared to look in that old mirror some days.

So you see my dear, dear friends, a mirror can be either a blessing or a curse.

It all depends on you’re point of view. To me it’s neither, just a constant
reminder of the man I used to be but will never be again.
