Better Access to Treatment Options in Nova Scotia

In January 2017, Parkinson Canada launched a campaign to get Duodopa covered by the Nova Scotia public drug program.

Our Ambassadors worked tirelessly from across the country to write letters and share their stories requesting that the government provide additional treatment options for people with Parkinson’s in the province.

In late 2017, Duodopa was approved for public funding by the Nova Scotia Government. Learn more by checking out the public-access to Duodopa press release

Parkinson Canada is assessing our advocacy efforts in the remaining Atlantic provinces. We’ll be notifying the community when a campaign is ready to be launched.
